Quality Engineer
Quality Engineer

Summary Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization.

Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.

Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards and provide training throughout the company.

Maintain a certified internal auditor status to review and ensure compliance as it relates to internal and government requirements: AS9100, EASA, and FAA certifications.

Ensure company compliance to AS9100 and FAA Quality requirements and guarantee all departments meet the current requirements and/or have actions plans to meet.

Senior member of Material Review Board (MRB) responsible for material dispositions.

Lead and support both internal/external audits and source inspections.

Supports responses to customer generated corrective action requests and RCCA.

Write, review, and approve First Article Inspection documentation to ensure customer and internal requirements are met.

Provides support to assembly and shop for issues with material nonconformances.

Provide and review training to ensure certified assembler and test technician compliance.

Investigate and support customer complaints regarding quality.

Supports the company with EASA/FAA required documentation in all areas as well as supporting final inspection as requested.

Operations Manager
Operations Manager

Summary Manages all activities related to operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.

Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.

Leads the product line through the 3 value drivers (PPP)

Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.

Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.  Key contributor to monthly Book & Ship and published weekly STC.

Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.

Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.

Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.

Maintains a robust succession plan for their role and all direct reports

Supervisory Responsibilities                                            

Manages 3-10 team members who supervise a total of 20-60 employees in Planning, Purchasing, Stockroom, and Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
