Accounting Manager
Accounting Manager

Summary Manages financial activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to management's attention.
  • Develop and implement effective reporting processes to streamline financial reporting.
  • Maintain monthly close schedule.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of long-term financial forecasts and strategic plans.

Internal Controls

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Compliance and Auditing

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

Payroll

  • Oversee the payroll process to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Review payroll data, deductions, and related journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable wage, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR and department leaders to resolve payroll questions, corrections, and process improvements.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Resolve any issues related to billing, collections, or vendor payments.
  • Implement and manage credit policies to minimize bad debt risk.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                            

Directly supervises one (1) to three (3) non-supervisory employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Customer Account Manager
Customer Account Manager

Summary:  Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Customer Account Manager is a key member of the Customer Support Team (CST) who will support all products of CEF.  Responsible for managing multiple customer accounts and for all functions of key customer accounts as it relates to the base business including bookings, pricing, and customer communication.  The Customer Account Manager is the voice of the customer working with Operations to ensure key objectives are achieved. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support the customer’s account and relationship
  • Collaborates with the Sales Manager and departments in meeting contractual commitments, production schedules and in resolving problems
  • Review and confirm customer contractual and PO requirements
  • Work with and provide guidance to the CA and SE assigned to the customer
  • Monitor, contest, and improve customer account scorecard data
  • Assist the Sales Manager on preparing bookings forecast and plan
  • As a member of the Customer Support Team (CST) works as part of a team to address all product line issues including production, engineering, delivery, sales, and quality
  • Prepare quotes and pricing for submittal to the Sales Manager
  • Lead customer OOR discussions to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the customer
  • Support/lead customer visits both onsite and externally as requested
  • Employee’s primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgment.

Establishes strong relationship with key suppliers through regularly scheduled meetings, teleconference, or visits.

Issues requests for quotations to suppliers on new parts and established parts to get competitive bids and updated pricing and delivery schedules.

Negotiates with suppliers to achieve price reductions and maintains a record of cost reduction achievement.

Reviews open order status and provides detailed follow-up to ensure on-time delivery of goods to requested purchase order dates.

Resolves supplier billing discrepancies.

Works with the receiving department and quality assurance department to resolve orders with documentation and quality discrepancies.

Summary: Fully capable to set up and operate any CNC Vertical Machining Center machine in the department.  Will be capable of programming most parts in department.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reads process sheets, job folders, blueprints, and work instructions of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
  • Maintain job folder integrity. 
  • Repair/adjust set-ups and tooling, troubleshoot nonconforming processes.
  • Selects and installs preset tooling in machine in sequence specified on process sheet.
  • Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.
  • Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
  • Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run.
  • Sets up and operates another machine.
