SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales, new business development, and product support for CEF components, with emphasis on clean-sheet solutions that meet customer requirements. This role requires a working knowledge of custom-engineered products, particularly electro-mechanical and mechanical actuators.
Key Responsibilities

Establish, cultivate, and execute a new business strategy while retaining market share on existing products.

Conduct extensive market analysis and effectively summarize and communicate market data to executives.

Grow market share, meet or exceed annual business goals, and achieve maximum profitability and account penetration by selling the value of the company’s products and services.

Achieve new business bookings in line with Plan
The assigned territory and account base includes all existing and targeted worldwide customers of CEF Industries, LLC.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and execute the new business plan. Track new business opportunities and their potential
-
Utilize and drive the distributor sales force to sell CEF products
-
Be a technical expert on the products
-
Maintain an understanding of operator and MRO shops along with what it takes to support all CEF operators

Strategize effective ways to win competitive proposals while selling value

Manage relationships with multiple distributors and end users

Communicate through emails, telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers

Provide technical support to customers

Attend trade shows, customer events, and conferences

Analyze the territory’s potential and determine the value of existing customers and their value to the organization

Plan and organize personal travel schedule via a Time and Territory Management Tool

Prepare proposals in compliance with customer requirements and Company pricing guidelines for new and existing products, coordinating with internal personnel as necessary to achieve greatest value

Review and negotiate terms and conditions, NDAs and other relevant contracts

Provide written trip reports and a monthly summary due by the second day of each new fiscal month

Keep abreast of competitive activities and market share

Strategize and execute effective ways to market the CEF brand

Prioritize and manage a large customer base to achieve growth goals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree from four-year university required, Business or Engineering Degree preferred

2-5 years of comparable sales experience required, preferably within the Aerospace Industry

Travel is expected 50-75% of the time both Domestic and International

Summary: Fully capable to set up and operate any CNC Vertical Machining Center machine in the department. Will be capable of programming most parts in department. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads process sheets, job folders, blueprints, and work instructions of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.

Maintain job folder integrity.

Repair/adjust set-ups and tooling, troubleshoot nonconforming processes.

Selects and installs preset tooling in machine in sequence specified on process sheet.

Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts.

Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.

Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run.
